The 2009/10 season marks the Diamond (75^th) Anniversary of the Calgary Ski Club.  Since our incorporation in 1935 as a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, our mission has remained:

“to promote the joy of skiing and other directly related sports, in all their diversity and to foster fellowship, healthy living and adventure year-round among recreational skiers and outdoor enthusiasts.”

Although the specific wording of our mission statement has changed slightly over the years, the focus of our club and our membership has always been to share the fun and fellowship of the great outdoors with others.  We have members of all ages and all skill levels, willing to share their knowledge and enthusiasm.  And we like to meet new friends and have fun too!

Every year we offer our members unbeatable prices on trips and programs and provide a wide-range of activities.  Everything from single day car-pool trips to the mountains, bus trips to resorts suitable for Cross-Country skiers, Downhill skiers and Snowboarders (two single-day trips and two weekend trips), one five-day trip via air (to Sunpeaks!), lessons for Cross-Country skiers, and so much more.  See our Events Calendar for more details on specific dates and programs being offered.

Leave the work to the CSC - we do all of the planning and organizing of our events with volunteer coordinators.  All you have to do is show up!  Our newsletter keeps our members informed of events and is published by volunteers.

Of course, as a member, you can get as involved as your time, energy and enthusiasm permit.  Plan an event.  Run a trip.  Be a coordinator or participate on a committee.  Serve as an director on the CSC Council.  Getting involved is easy, and the rewards are great!
