The Calgary Ski Club is involved in many different activities supporting our community. We are involved with the New & Used Ski Sale, the Lake Louise Loppet, along with our many ski programs for all ages. To support these activities, the club has a business plan which outlines its goals and objectives.
Membership Policy
- Memberships are NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE upon signing
- Membership period is from September 1st until August 31st.
- NSF membership cheques are subject to a $25 bank fee and must be reissued within 24 hours to complete membership
- Membership is not considered completed until processed by CSC office and a membership card issued
- Failure to sign the waiver portion invalidates membership
- Any members wishing to join before an activity must complete a membership application at least 1 day prior to that activity, agreements signed immediately before an activity will not be accepted
CSC Family Policy
- Children’s Alberta Health Card Number and birth date are mandatory
- A signed Adult membership form and signed waiver MUST accompany the Family membership form
- Please read the CSC waiver carefully for all information regarding limitations on liability
- Children and/or Youth must be accompanied by and have a parent/guardian present for all social events/day trips and/or extended trips
- A parent/guardian must be on site during a child's activity/event/trip; CSC assumes no liability should children be left unattended by a parent/guardian
- Although the CSC is a family friendly ski club, certain events/activities/trips may be designated as adult only
CSC Rewards Policy
- CSC dollars are non-transferable and non-refundable
- CSC dollars are an internal reward system and have no cash value
- Members only in good standing with an active membership may accumulate and spend CSC dollars
- Guest are not permitted to be a part of the reward system
- You may access your CSC dollars with your login account through the CSC website
- All new members start with an initial CSC dollar amount in their account upon activating their “First Tracks” or “Snow Base” membership
- CSC dollars can be banked for a 2 year period provided you maintain a membership in good standing
- CSC dollars cannot be earned or cashed for Social activities or cashed for Memberships
- CSC dollars can be cashed in only to a maximum set by each director for each activity
Day Trips Policy
- For regular carpool Daytrips, members and guests must register online through the Events Calendar no later than 24 hours prior to the activity.
- Latecomers who have not registered online prior must register and/or sign a waiver before being allowed to join the activity.
- Latecomers will be allowed to carpool with registered participants only if there is space available in any of the vehicles. Otherwise, latercomers will be responsible for providing their own transportation.
Special Chartered Day Trips Policy
- Members and guests MUST register 5 days prior to the activity and have paid all costs online by the trip cut-off date.
- Subject to any remaining space available, late sign-ups will be accepted up to 24 hours in advance of the trip and will be required to pay an additional $15 late sign-up fee.
- Walk-ups for chartered Daytrips are not allowed.
Extended Trips Policy
- For Airline Chartered Extended Trips, Members and Guests are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to and from the airport.
- CSC is not responsible for making any travel arrangements if flights or buses are missed.
- Walk-ups are NOT permitted to register and pay the day of departure for Extended trips.
- Subject to any remaining space available, late sign-ups will be accepted up to 24 hours in advance of the trip and will be required to pay the FULL trip cost plus an additional $15 late sign-up fee.
- All Extended trips require a deposit to secure a reservation however you are not considered fully booked on a trip until FULL payment is received and processed.
- A $100 NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE deposit is required at time of booking for Bus Chartered Extended Trips.
- A $300 NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE deposit is required at time of booking for Airline Chartered Extended Trips.
- A $25 fee applies for all NSF cheques and cheques must be reissued within 24 hours.
- Failure to reissue any cheque results in implied cancellation from the trip.
