Have fun, Stay-in-shape, Get out with Friends and Family

Cross-Country skiing is a sport that all ages and abilities can take part in. The Calgary Ski Club invites you, your family and friends to get out and enjoy our Cross-Country skiing programs this winter. Don’t forget, Cross-Country skiing is one of the most cost-effective winter sports – there are no expensive lift tickets!

Lessons

It’s never too early or too late to learn how to Cross-Country ski or to improve your technique. The Club has lessons for children and adults including learn to ski programs for beginners.

Jackrabbits

We teach Cross Country Canada’s Jackrabbit Ski Program to children ages 5 to 10. A team of enthusiastic coaches will encourage the learning of basic skiing fundamentals for classic skiing. Each skier receives an awards booklet and award stickers to track their progress. We take skier and team photos and have a year end party. It’s a fun, family environment and the really great thing about our Jackrabbit programs is that Mom or Dad get to learn how to cross-country ski as well – free of charge!

TBD. An information session for parents on how to equip and dress their children for the upcoming season; non-members may attend at a cost of $5. A grip waxing information session.Adults

Our popular Learn to Classic series is offered in January  and February. Our CANSI qualified instructors teach beginners the classic technique of cross country skiing.

Everyone will stay at the Lake Louise Inn on Dec 9th and 10th. There is an optional XC waxing session Thursday, Dec 8th in Calgary. Cross Country Ski Lessons will be provided Saturday in Lake Louise.
