| XC Day Trip - Pocaterra |

Destination: Pocaterra Hut, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park (destination may change due to snow and trail conditions). All participants will be entered in a draw at the end of the day for two free nights at Nipika Mountain Resort. Date: Saturday, December 19th Time: Meet at Edworthy parking lot at 9 am, click here for the meeting spot. Distance: ~20km Level: This will be for all abilities, novice, intermediate, advanced. Waxing assistance will be available. Description: All skiers will start at the Pocaterra Hut, which is heated and has civilized bathrooms. On the trail, skiers will be able to stop anytime to make clothing adjustments, have a quick snack, a drink, or take pictures. Due to the possibility of getting chilled after vigorous skiing, however, there will be no long lunch break. We will relive the day's events back at the hut, so bring your lunch and a hot drink, and we’ll make a draw for a free trip to Nipika. - Novice Group: One of the co-coordinators will stay with this group, which will do the Pocaterra Trail, which is rated as easy. Distance: You can go as far as you want. At the 3.3K point, the trail starts to gently climb
- Intermediate and Advanced Group: The other co-coordinator will stay with this group which will ski Pocaterra, Lynx, Amos, Wheeler, Whiskey Jack. Distance: Approximately 22 km total.
